Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical systems for nuclear power projects in a hybrid work environment. You will work with multiple design teams across the US, perform advanced engineering analyses, and guide project outcomes from concept to execution.

Minimum 5 years in engineering with a bachelor's degree is required; active licensure is preferred. The role offers growth within an ESOP-owned culture and a strong benefit package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience in mechanical engineering.
• Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems for new nuclear plant designs or modifications.
• Collaborate with design teams across the US for execution.
• Perform complex calculations and analyze mechanical systems.
• Manage project budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure proper workflow.
