Oklo Inc. is seeking a Senior Nuclear Criticality Safety Engineer to join our team in a fast‑paced startup environment. The role focuses on criticality safety evaluations, basis development, and building the NCS program for a first‑of‑a‑kind used nuclear fuel recycling facility.

The candidate should have 5+ years of CSE experience, be proficient with Attila4MC, MCNP, SCALE, or Serpent, and be able to communicate complex topics clearly. Travel to Santa Clara, CA for onboarding is required.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5+ years of experience performing CSEs as part of a nuclear facility safety basis.
• Knowledge of nuclear fuel cycle processes and safety standards.
• Familiarity with NRC regulations and regulations for fuel cycle facilities.
• Experience with used nuclear fuel recycling technologies is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and evaluate NCS hazards for fuel cycle facilities.
• Perform CSEs to demonstrate subcriticality under normal and abnormal conditions.
• Develop criticality code validation reports and compliance documentation.
• Support safety basis development and licensing efforts.
• Develop and administer the NCS program and methodologies.
