Senior Nuclear Construction Engineer – PMO Oversight

Job summary

RSI EnTech, LLC seeks a Construction Engineer to provide technical and administrative support for the PMO aligned with DOE, NNSA, and the Savannah River Site initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in large-scale nuclear construction, strong communication, and proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives while ensuring safety, quality, and strict regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a degree in an Engineering discipline or directly related degree.
• Must have at least 15 years of experience working on large complex nuclear construction projects (>$100M).
• Must demonstrate knowledge of International Building Codes, AISC, ASME, NEC, NEPA, and ACI codes and standards.
• Must demonstrate the ability to review, understand, and communicate design calculation results, drawing requirements, and specification requirements for construction efforts.
• Demonstrated experience developing construction resource loaded schedules that optimize construction installation sequences is a substantial plus.
• Proven ability to resolve complex technical challenges to successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a SME, overseeing all phases of construction projects across the NNSA SRS PMO portfolio.
• Assist PMO, IPT, and DOE/NNSA offices with technical oversight and governance; prepare executive summaries, dashboards, and briefings.
• Liaise between NNSA SRS PMO, M&O contractors, subcontractors, regulators, and facility stakeholders.
• Oversee planning, sequencing, and execution of field activities; monitor on-site ops and schedule progress against baselines.
• Ensure all work complies with DOE 413.3B guidelines, ES&H requirements, and approved designs.
• Review submittals, RFIs, FCRs, NCRs, and design deviation notices to safeguard design intent and nuclear safety standards.
