Job summary
Jobtailor is seeking a senior software architect to provide technical leadership for NTB software systems across JSAF, JBUS, RAVE, ERM, MDS, NEXUS, JMAC, CS3, and ATD. You will define roadmaps, oversee design, development, testing, and ensure compliance with DISA STIGs and NCTE guidance.
You will mentor engineers and collaborate with government sponsors and Fleet users. The role is based in Norfolk, VA, requiring on-site work with occasional NCTE facilities support; you will work with
Qualifications
- 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or 13+ years with Masters; or 10+ years with PhD/JD.
- Deep expertise in software architecture and large-scale system design.
- Expert-level Linux-based development and DevSecOps.
- Strong leadership and ability to guide discussions with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level technical leadership and architectural oversight for NTB software systems across multiple platforms.
- Lead design, development, testing, and debugging of advanced applications and distributed simulations.
- Define long-range development roadmaps and modernization strategies for NTB products.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and foster cross-team collaboration.
