Job summary

NuScale Power is seeking an experienced engineer to perform design and stress analyses of pressure vessels and primary supports under ASME III guidance. The role requires leadership of the NSSS Component Analysis Group, mentoring junior engineers and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Candidates should have 10+ years of experience and extensive ANSYS usage, with programming skills (APDL, Matlab, Python).

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, ABET accredited; advanced degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• 10+ years of full-time relevant experience; extensive ANSYS stress analysis per ASME III NB/NF.
• Experience with programming (ANSYS APDL, MATLAB, Python).
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and stress analyses of pressure vessels and primary equipment supports per ASME BPVC Section III.
• Lead and mentor NSSS Component Analysis team members; provide technical direction.
• Interact with cross-disciplinary teams to coordinate design activities and resolve issues.
• Maintain quality assurance and compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and ASME NQA-1.
