Job summary

The role requires 5+ years in nuclear QA, qualification as NQA-1 Lead Auditor or eligibility within 90 days, and the ability to communicate findings to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Current qualification as an NQA-1 Lead Auditor, or qualifiable within 90 days.
• 5+ years in nuclear quality assurance with hands-on auditing to 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1.
• Working knowledge of construction materials testing, special inspection, or geotechnical services preferred.
• Writes audit reports that NRC inspector could follow without further explanation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain the audit schedule for the nuclear QA program, including internal and supplier audits.
• Lead audits end to end: notification, checklist, entrance/exit meetings, evidence, findings, and report.
• Evaluate and audit suppliers of safety-related items and services; recommend additions/removals to the approved list.
• Maintain lead-auditor and auditor qualification records; support external program audits.
• Ensure independence and proper reporting of audit findings and corrective actions.
