Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. seeks a senior Global Supply Chain leader to drive readiness, launch, and scale of robotic systems platforms. You will guide cross-functional teams through NPI, supplier selection, and contract negotiation to optimize cost, capacity, and time‑to‑market.

You will manage supplier performance, develop long-term supply strategies, and lead complex negotiations to support Da Vinci and Ion platforms in a regulated manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Significant experience with new product introduction (NPI) in a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Exceptional negotiation skills, proven track record of savings, and history of successful contract negotiations
• Significant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP systems. Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.
• Proven track record of effective project management in a fast-paced manufacturing company. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects successfully and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong financial acumen; excellent working knowledge of corporate/production finance; experience building financial models and using financial knowledge to understand supplier operations
• Working knowledge of buying, material planning, master scheduling, and forecasting
• Presentation skills and the ability to make complex topics simple to drive decision making
• Demonstrates concern for precision and thoroughness
• Proven ability to consistently achieve stretch goals and objectives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience presenting to senior leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional new product programs with complex scope and updates.
• Create, manage, and execute program roadmaps for cost, capacity, speed to market, and risk goals.
• Provide cross-functional category leadership for high-complexity spend areas.
• Lead supplier selection with collaboration from Supplier Engineering.
• Deploy strategic sourcing to build a core supply base with total cost focus.
• Collaborate with suppliers to manage demand changes and minimize shortages during development.
• Develop capacity/risk mitigation plans with suppliers for multi-year horizons.
• Negotiate long-term commercial agreements with suppliers and drive cost reductions.
