Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Sr NPI Manufacturing Engineer (Finance) to support manufacturing lines for mature and new products on the daVinci SinglePort platform.

You will lead continuous improvement, develop fixtures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust manufacturing and product quality. The role requires strong CAD, fixture design, DFMA, and DOE/CPK/ANOVA-based process development, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
• 8+ years (BS) or 6+ years (MS) in process/manufacturing engineering for mechanical products.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve existing in-house manufacturing lines with daily engineering support.
• Lead/participate in continuous improvement and design for manufacturability feedback.
• Develop new assembly/test fixtures for New Product Introduction (NPI) and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ/PPQ).
• Coordinate Design Verification & Validation builds and supplier change feedback.
• Mentor manufacturing engineers and drive project milestones.
