Job summary

Generac is seeking an Senior NPI Sourcing Specialist to lead complex sourcing for new product introductions from development through launch. You will steer supplier selection, negotiate terms, and ensure material readiness while coordinating with engineering, planning, and finance to meet cost, quality, and schedule goals.

The role requires significant experience in NPI, strategic sourcing, and cross-functional leadership in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

Significant experience in NPI sourcing, procurement, and supplier management.
Strong knowledge of RFQs, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations.
Experience with PPAP, engineering changes, and BOMs/CBOMs.
Ability to lead strategic sourcing with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Lead sourcing activities for complex NPI programs including RFQ strategy and supplier evaluation.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies considering total cost, capacity, and risks.
Lead supplier negotiations using TCO, should-cost, and market data.
Maintain AVL, supplier documentation, and commercial agreements.
Own material readiness from prototype to production launch.
Execute NP I purchase orders, delivery schedules, and changes.
Identify shortages and risks; implement mitigation plans.
Coach and mentor junior team members in Sourcing & NPI processes.
Maintain data in SAP/Ariba and develop dashboards for visibility.
