Job summary
Carrier Global Corporation seeks a proactive NPD Quality Lead for Commercial Cooling Chillers in Charlotte, NC. You will own quality from early development through production launch, guiding design reviews, PPAP readiness, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to mitigate risks.
You will review FPY data, defects, and test results to drive root-cause investigations and corrective actions, while mentoring the Quality team and reporting status to
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field is required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in NPD, launches, or Quality activities in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading cross-functional activities and influencing teams.
Responsibilities
- NPD Quality Lead for Commercial Cooling Chillers and related system platforms.
- End-to-end Quality ownership from early development to production launch.
- Lead design reviews, APQP milestones, Passport gate reviews, prototype/MCS builds, PPAP readiness.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain to identify risks and drive corrective actions.
- Review data (FPY, defects, test failures) to drive root-cause investigations.
- Provide Quality leadership on high-risk issues and escalate gaps as needed.
- Drive lessons learned and look across program families to prevent repeats.
- Communicate Quality readiness and risks to teams and leadership with Excel/PowerPoint.
