Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a seasoned NPD Quality Lead to own quality activities for Commercial Cooling Chillers and related platforms in Charlotte, NC. You will drive end-to-end quality during development, readiness reviews, and production launches, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to mitigate risks.

You will analyze FPY, defects, and test data to identify root causes, mentor Quality teams, and report status to leadership using Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or technical field) required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in new product development, launches or quality in a complex manufacturing environment.
• ASQ CQE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• NPD Quality Lead for Commercial Cooling Chillers and related platforms.
• End-to-end quality ownership from development to production launch and sustaining quality.
• Lead design reviews, APQP milestones, PPAP readiness, and production launch.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and leadership to address risks early.
• Review FPY, defects, test data to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Provide quality leadership on high-risk issues and escalate as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement and share lessons across programs and plants.
• Report readiness, risks, issues, and project status to leadership with Excel/PowerPoint.
• Mentor and guide other Quality team members.
