Job summary

Foxconn Industrial Internet is seeking a Sr. Material Program Manager (MPM) in San Jose, CA to oversee new product introduction material planning and program management.

The role interfaces with Business, Product Management, Production and Planning to ensure material availability and cost control throughout NPI phases. Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in a technical field or business is required. MBA and APICS is a plus.
• 5+ years of material management, supplier management and customer support experience, including at least one year in a supervisory position.
• Proficiency in English is required. Mandarin is a plus.
• Knowledge of OEM, ODM, JDM and other business/operational models; experience in electronic contract manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead material planning, forecasting, and readiness to support existing and new NPI customer accounts and new product development.
• Lead materials budget planning and spend management with Finance and Business, Product Management.
• Propose optimized supply planning to ensure on-time build schedules.
• Drive closure of material issues and minimize total supply chain cost while meeting quality standards.
• Lead daily or weekly materials readiness meetings with internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Analyze processes and recommend improvements; prepare proposals for executive review.
• Monitor supply chain KPIs and address opportunities/risks.
• Manage relationships with customers and suppliers on a day-to-day basis.
• Take leadership role in project teams driving critical initiatives.
