Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Sr. NPI / Manufacturing Technician to join our Sunnyvale production team. This on-site role focuses on transferring products from engineering to manufacturing, troubleshooting complex assemblies, and helping establish efficient processes.

You will support pre-production builds, document findings, mentor junior technicians, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with engineers and PMs to meet program objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred; Bachelor’s in technical field a plus.
• 5+ years hands-on manufacturing or technician experience.
• 3+ years in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts.
• Strong mechanical and electromechanical assembly experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and testing electromechanical equipment.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote 5S, safety, quality, documentation, and standardization.
• Collaborate with leadership to balance workload.
• Partner with PM, engineering, and production to meet objectives.
• Maintain training records and support QMS compliance.
• Engage in data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Communicate project status and technical issues to management.
• Support product transfer activities: build, test, troubleshoot, document, train.
• Own challenging builds and manufacturing issues.
• Mentor junior technicians.
• Help develop manufacturing processes for new products.
• Work with engineering to identify practical manufacturing solutions.
