Job summary

Teradyne's Nextest division in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join the New Product Introduction team. You will work closely with design engineering to shape assembly processes for new products and ensure manufacturability from concept through high‑volume production.

The role requires solid experience with SolidWorks and CAD, plus ability to lead cross‑functional efforts, drive DFMs, and coordinate changes across suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks and CAD applications.
• Project management and leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical infrastructure including cabling, harnessing, grounding, breakers, relays, and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on product build process with design engineering.
• Develop and implement new assembly instructions and procedures.
• Develop Manufacturing Process Strategy for outsourced products.
• Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews in the NPI process.
• Manufacturing fixture design including validation, build, documentation, and handoff to high volume production.
• Create and implement Engineering Change Notices to update BOMs and drawings.
• Monitor and drive quality standards at suppliers and internally.
• Develop and provide training to assembly personnel and contract manufacturers.
