Job summary

nVent is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple New Product Introduction projects within the Systems Protections Business Unit. You will drive schedules, coordinate with engineers and designers, and oversee outside testing and regulatory activities from Discover through Deploy and Launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering required.
• 7+ years of related engineering experience of which 3+ years minimum of project management and/or leading teams experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 360 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred.
• Experience with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) for backlog management, progress tracking and reporting preferred.
• Ability to lead work teams, improve efficiency and establish resolution.
• Travel: ~10% domestic, potential for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to develop New Product Introduction products following a stage-gate process (Discover, Develop, Deploy, Launch).
• Drive, coordinate and maintain project schedules.
• Lead and partner with engineers and designers on product design activities.
• Direct outside activities such as regulatory or third-party testing.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply, ISC, Quality and Compliance.
• Manage a portfolio of projects to stay on track and remove roadblocks.
• Identify and mitigate risks early with structured planning.
• Track Project Portfolio KPIs.
• Improve processes to reduce product development cycle time.
