Job summary

Collectors Universe, Inc. in Santa Ana, CA, seeks a Staff NPI Engineer to lead global part qualification, drive tooling from kickoff to production, and ensure flawless design transfer to suppliers worldwide.

You will own design transfers to domestic and international offices, collaborate with product development, and establish repeatable playbooks for NPI across supplier sites. This onsite role offers a high-impact path in a precision manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

8+ years in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or product launch roles in high-precision, high-volume environment.
Proven experience managing large-scale injection molding tooling programs.
Fluent in PPAP/FAI, GD&T, and supplier qualification processes.

Responsibilities

Own the global part qualification process end-to-end, driving cycle time and removing bottlenecks.
Lead implementation of new injection molding tool sets from kick-off through production release.
Manage new design transfers to domestic and international offices, ensuring process requirements are validated before handoff.
Partner with product development and operations to execute smooth NPI handoffs from DFM through first article.
Define and deploy global standards of work for NPI, building repeatable playbooks across all supplier sites.
