Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Senior NPI Test Engineer to support the manufacturing of hardware for self-driving technology. The role involves debugging software tools for manufacturing tests, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving improvements in test procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, data-driven problem solving skills, and experience with Python, Linux, and manufacturing test development.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in data collection with electronic test equipment and data-acquisition systems.
• Prior verification, validation, and testing experience with emphasis on debugging skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication of test status and results, including writing formal test reports/records.
• Experience in manufacturing test development and sustaining efforts at scale
• Ability to read design drawings/wiring schematics.
• Excellent analytical abilities, technical writing ability, and a comprehensive understanding of problem-solving.
• Experience programming in Python is required.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Google Suite, JIRA, JAMA, and GIT.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• International travel to CM for on-site bring-up and support.

Responsibilities

• Support and debug software tools used in manufacturing tests and provisioning.
• Closely collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to harden and optimize automated manufacturing test procedures.
• Data management and analysis to track production test performance metrics, prioritize top issues, and drive continuous improvement activities with cross-functional teams.
• Provides technical test support to all local manufacturing areas, locations, and customers as needed.
