Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh Company, seeks a New Product Development Senior Technician to contribute to prototype build and development of new products within the Pierce Manufacturing and Oshkosh Vocational Segment portfolios.

This role leads fabrication and assembly of prototype vehicles, sub-systems, and parts; performs configuration changes and repairs; follows engineering procedures to validate designs and resolve issues on sustaining products.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in engineering or equivalent with work experience.
• Experience with heavy automotive vehicle assembly and prototypes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and safety docs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble/disassemble complex projects and fabricate parts per drawings.
• Test prototypes and current products; troubleshoot systems and analyze failures.
• Document issues and observations to Engineering during development.
• Mentor technicians; identify improvements and coach others.
• Plan daily activities to meet project timelines while maintaining safety.
