Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, seeks a Category Specialist for New Product Introduction to support sourcing, engineering changes, and product launches for prototypes and production. You will partner with Engineering, Finance, Operations and suppliers to ensure components are properly sourced and commercially established.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required or equivalent experience.
• Three+ years in Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Ability to travel 10-20%.

Responsibilities

• Review ECNs to understand technical requirements and sourcing needs.
• Execute sourcing activities including RFQs, quote analysis, supplier evaluation and selection.
• Coordinate with Engineering and suppliers to ensure manufacturability per drawings.
• Procure capital tooling for new/changed components and align on cost and timing.
• Develop supply plans for prototype, pre-production and production launches.
• Identify and mitigate supplier lead-time risks affecting launches.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving to expedite critical material.
• Build relationships across Engineering, Operations, Quality, PM, Purchasing and suppliers.
• Apply judgment and project management to prioritize requirements and escalate risks.
• Identify process improvements to ERP data integrity and sourcing.
