Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform and demonstrate all maintenance department functions in accordance with Maintenance Technician job requirements.
  • Lead and support 2nd Shift maintenance operations to ensure safety, quality, uptime, and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Coordinate daily scheduling and work assignments for team members based on production priorities and department needs.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust resources as needed to maintain operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues while supporting timely corrective actions.
  • Conduct product, equipment, and process inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels for maintenance parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Collect, track, and maintain records related to maintenance activities, equipment performance, and statistical process control.
  • Assist in training, mentoring, and guiding team members to support department and company objectives.
  • Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing principles and workplace organization.
  • Prioritize multiple responsibilities effectively and complete tasks according to established timelines and supervisor direction.
  • Make accurate and timely decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, leadership, and cross-functional departments.
  • Foster a positive team environment built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous leadership
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the applicable Maintenance Technician role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Previous maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, value stream concepts, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with project coordination and maintenance planning.
  • Previous experience building Pierce products preferred.
  • Working knowledge of maintenance systems, inventory management, and process improvement tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
