Job summary

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries seeks an experienced Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls and compliance. The role reports to the CFO, guiding the accounting team toward accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA or equivalent, 7+ years in accounting with nonprofit experience, and strong expertise in GAAP, audits, and financial analysis to support mission-driven growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Experience with audits, internal controls and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and close processes.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant accounting records and internal controls.
• Coordinate annual financial statement audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Prepare reports for executive leadership and board of directors.
• Monitor budgets, grants, and regulatory compliance.
