Qualifications

• CPA license required and active.
• Ten years of relevant professional experience, with five years in a senior accounting leadership role within a nonprofit.
• Three years as Financial Controller or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and audit management.
• Experience implementing ERP systems such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries and reconciliations.
• Produce financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Manage the annual fiscal audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain finance operations and support the CFO on strategic finances.
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
• Prepare Form 990 and Form 5500.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and support decisions.
• Ensure internal controls and SOPs are up to date.
