Zusammenfassung

Chazin & Company, a woman-owned nonprofit-focused virtual accounting firm, seeks a Senior Accountant for a fully remote role open to the United States (CA residents excluded). You will handle full-cycle accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and donor-restricted reporting for multiple nonprofit clients.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 5+ years of experience, and preferably a CPA license; prior nonprofit or outsourced accounting is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA license preferred
• Minimum of five years of general accounting experience
• Public or outsourced accounting experience preferred
• Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
• Experience in audit preparation

Aufgaben

• Provide full-cycle accounting support for multiple nonprofit clients, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare month-end close workbooks, complete statement of financial position reconciliations, and issue monthly financial statements
• Meet client deadlines and submit work to compliance and quality control on a timely basis
• Apply nonprofit revenue recognition guidance, including accounting for exchange transactions, contributions, and donor restrictions
• Review investment statements and prepare investment roll-forwards to support accurate financial reporting
• Support grant management and reporting requirements
• Coordinate audit preparation, including schedules, support during audits, and final audit deliverables
• Assist with Form 990 preparation and other local, state, and federal filings
• Prepare specialized reporting to support client decision-making
• Assist with financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, and budget preparation under the guidance of a Controller
