Job summary

Chazin & Company, a woman-owned nonprofit-focused accounting firm based in the United States, seeks an Associate Manager, Technical Reviews & Training – CPA, to lead U.S. GAAP training and technical reviews across the Accounting Services team.

The role is fully remote and requires strong nonprofit and public accounting experience. Responsibilities include monthly close reviews, technical research, and developing training materials, with a CPA and extensive GAAP knowledge as core requirements.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA license required.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP.
• Minimum three years of nonprofit accounting experience.
• Minimum five years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Minimum three years of public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in audit preparation and management.
• Ability to thrive in a virtual team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and multiple Accounting Software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly close workpapers, reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Evaluate supports for significant balances and unusual transactions; flag discrepancies.
• Document review comments and ensure corrections resolve findings before clearance.
• Review year-end schedules and support for external audits.
• Develop and deliver internal training on nonprofit accounting topics.
