Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a nonprofit organization in the Washington, DC area. You will support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting operations, with hands-on NetSuite experience.

The ideal candidate has nonprofit accounting experience and 3–5+ years of accounting; familiarity with grants and fund accounting is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit.
• Strong month-end close, journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations.
• Experience with NetSuite and grant/fund accounting preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and accruals.
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in NetSuite.
• Support nonprofit accounting, including grant, fund, restricted, and unrestricted activity.
• Assist with budgeting, variance analysis, and annual audit preparation.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and support AP/AR as needed.
