Job summary

Global Impact is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the monthly close, GL reconciliation, and year-end audits. You will manage AP processes, code expenses, and assist in vendor onboarding within a nonprofit setting.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and 1–3 years of accounting experience. Proficiency in NetSuite and Excel, with strong communication and organizational skills, is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) and 1–3 years in accounting or finance, preferably in not-for-profit.
• Solid understanding of not-for-profit accounting practices and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable inbox, invoice intake, and ERP upload.
• Code invoices to GL accounts, grants, programs, and cost centers.
• Support vendor onboarding due diligence materials.
• Track invoices against vendor schedules and contracts.
• Enter and code bank entries (AR and deposits).
• Maintain organization of project, vendor, and funder records.
• Assist with annual 1099 filings (1096 to IRS).
• Be flexible for additional assignments in a dynamic environment.
