Job description

Plan A Technologies is looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Engineer. This position is for a skilled individual with the ability to deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions. The ideal candidate must be an expert in backend technologies (Node Frameworks) and have previous experience with Ramda library. This is a fast-paced job with room for significant career growth.

Please note: you must have at least 6+ years of experience as a Node.js developer to be considered for this role.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

1. Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend applications using Node.js and MongoDB.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
3. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
4. Optimize the application for maximum performance, scalability, and security.
5. Identify and address performance bottlenecks, debugging and resolving technical issues.
6. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to project guidelines.
7. Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy applications and ensure proper monitoring and logging.
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and frameworks in backend development.

EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s degree (BSCS, BSEE, or BSCE) or equivalent education and experience
2. 8+ years of experience as a backend engineer
3. 6+ years of experience as a Node.js developer
4. 2+ years of experience with C++
5. Strong proficiency in frameworks such as Express.js
6. Experience with RESTful API development and integration
7. Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
8. Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON
9. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
10. Experience with Ramda library
11. Understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
12. Familiarity with front-end technologies, such as React or Angular, for effective collaboration with front-end developers.
13. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
14. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
15. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
16. Problem-solving skills to support the team and client
17. Be flexible to change, and willing to adapt to the client and team needs
18. Ability to work with engineers in multiple countries
19. Must have an organized and analytical working style, and the ability to plan your own work
20. Initiative and drive to do great things

Will be a plus:

1. Strong knowledge of MongoDB for database management.
2. Proficiency in TypeScript and Go for server-side development.
