Job summary

Synechron in Menlo Park, CA seeks an experienced Node/JS Java Developer to build and maintain APIs and middleware for a mobile services platform. You will integrate applications, databases, and web/mobile systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and backend integration, with a focus on scalable, high‑performing enterprise solutions and a strong understanding of financial services technology

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, code architecture, CI/CD, and SOA.
• Hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring and Spring Boot, Spring Integration, TypeScript, Node.js, Kafka, ActiveMQ.
• Experience with REST, SOAP, and JSON APIs; proficiency with Oracle, DB2, and/or Sybase databases.
• Demonstrated ability to develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend and integration solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain middle-layer services using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Java, and/or C#/.NET.
• Build and support APIs and web services enabling integration across web, mobile, and backend platforms.
• Collaborate with PMO, Development, Product Management, Business, Technical Operations, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, Network, and Architecture teams.
• Draft and review architectural diagrams, technical specifications, business requirements, and design documents.
• Work within existing technology environments including Java, C++, Linux, Unix, Open-Source Platforms, and SOA.
• Contribute to next-generation solution development by adopting and implementing new technologies.
• Develop robust, scalable, and high-performing solutions that support business needs.
• Gain understanding of financial products and workflows to propose effective solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team technical growth.
