Job summary

Leidos is seeking a NOC/SOC Shift Lead (2nd Shift) to act as the senior technical authority for after-hours network operations and cybersecurity monitoring at Langley AFB. You will blend NOC and SOC duties, prioritize incidents, and own shift turnover to ensure continuity with the day shift.

Daily on-site work is required. The role requires 4+ years in IT security or network operations, a DoD TS/SCI clearance, and IAT Level II baseline certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 4+ years of related experience; Master’s degree with 2+ years acceptable.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
• IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+); CSSP Analyst-aligned cert preferred.
• 4+ years hands-on IT security or network operations experience; prior shift-team leadership is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior point of contact for the 2nd shift NOC/SOC team and prioritize alerts.
• Oversee SIEM and network performance dashboards to detect threats and outages.
• Lead triage of incidents, direct diagnostics, and contain anomalies.
• Own escalation to Tier 2/3; prepare detailed shift-handover reports for day shift.
• Oversee routing, connectivity issue resolution, backups, and patch management during off-peak hours.
• Mentor junior technicians and review tickets/reports for quality.
