Job summary

Leidos is seeking a NOC/SOC Shift Lead (2nd shift) to act as senior technical authority for after-hours network operations and cybersecurity monitoring across DoD networks. The role blends NOC and SOC duties and owns shift turnover to ensure day-shift continuity, with a core on-site schedule from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM at Langley AFB.

The ideal candidate has a DoD TS/SCI clearance, IAT Level II certification, and 4+ years in IT security or network operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, or related field with 4+ years of experience; or Master’s with 2+ years.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
• IAT Level II baseline certs (e.g., Security+ CE) with strong preference for CSSP-aligned certs.
• 4+ years hands-on IT security or network operations leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2nd shift NOC/SOC operations and incident response.
• Oversee SIEM/EDR monitoring and threat detection.
• Coordinate escalation to Tier 2/3 engineering teams and document shift handovers.
• Mentor junior technicians and enforce shift procedures.
