Job summary

CBRE seeks an Associate Research Director to lead the NJ research team in Saddle Brook, NJ, delivering market intelligence and actionable insights for leaders, sales pros and clients. Onsite presence is required.

Responsibilities include data management, research outputs, and thought leadership, plus people management. Bachelor's with 6+ years in CRE is typical; Master’s preferred. Excellent communication and dashboards skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a real estate/economics/finance/geography field with 6+ years related experience or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in commercial real estate and as a people manager
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and dashboard tools (Tableau/Power BI)

Responsibilities

• Engage with market leaders and brokers to gather feedback and improve research support
• Participate in pitch kickoff meetings and mobilize resources for pitches, occasionally presenting to clients
• Engage with clients and sales teams to craft market narratives during pitches and presentations
• Lead local data efforts by maintaining a proprietary real estate data database and ensuring data integrity
• Coordinate delivery of standard Field Research outputs (Figures, market stacks, skylines, overviews)
• Drive local thought leadership by analyzing real estate and economic trends
• Hire, budget, delegate, manage deadlines, and supervise NJ research team
• Plan staffing levels and overtime; deliver performance appraisals and mentor staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
