Robert Hadley Associates is confidentially seeking an experienced New Jersey land use & zoning attorney to join a respected practice handling sophisticated development matters across New Jersey.

You will work on land use, zoning and redevelopment matters involving developers, property owners and major projects, with opportunities to grow client exposure and assume greater responsibility in a Newark-based, on-site role.

Qualifications

• 3–9 years of meaningful New Jersey land use experience.
• Admitted to practice in New Jersey.
• Has appeared before planning and/or zoning boards.
• Can manage matters with increasing independence.
• Enjoys working directly with clients, developers and municipalities.
• Wants to take the next step professionally.
• Land use litigation experience is a strong plus.

• Planning and zoning board applications and appearances
• Site plans, subdivisions, variances and rezonings
• Redevelopment projects, agreements and PILOTs
• Municipal approvals and permitting
• Land use due diligence and development strategy
• Negotiation with municipalities and opposing parties
