Job summary

AJ Chambers US seeks a Land Use & Redevelopment Associate with 5-7 years of experience to join its sophisticated land use and redevelopment practice. The role involves advising developers, property owners, utilities, and institutional clients on complex development, zoning, and permitting matters.

The successful candidate will navigate regulatory approvals, conduct due diligence, and lead client matters with strong advocacy, drafting, and negotiation skills in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of land use and zoning experience.
• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
• Experience representing clients before municipal land use boards and governmental agencies.
• Strong experience with site plan, subdivision, variance, rezoning, and development plan applications.
• Familiarity with New Jersey land use regulations and coordinating approvals from multiple governmental entities.
• Experience conducting land use and zoning due diligence for acquisitions, dispositions, leasing transactions, and development projects.
• Strong legal research, writing, advocacy, negotiation, and client management skills.
