Job summary

The University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking a General Maintenance Worker Senior to perform a broad range of maintenance and repair tasks across campus facilities as part of the Night/Weekend Maintenance Team. The role includes electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, responding to elevator and fire-alarm calls, and preventive maintenance on emergency systems.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of general maintenance experience, with CMMS (Maximo)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Three years of general maintenance/repair experience.
• Experience with CMMS (Maximo) is preferred.
• Trades experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electrical repairs, replace lamps, bulbs, switches and fixtures.
• Repair hardware on doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture; prep walls and paint.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and clear drains and lines; assist with emergencies.
• Respond to elevator and fire-alarm calls and assist in safety and emergency procedures.
• Perform routine building inspections and document shift activity.
