Job summary

University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking a General Maintenance Worker Senior to join the Night/Weekend Maintenance Team. The role performs electrical, plumbing, carpentry repairs, responds to elevator and fire-alarm calls, and conducts preventive maintenance on emergency systems across campus facilities.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of general maintenance experience; preferred skills include CMMS (Maximo), and trades in electrical, HVAC, or

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Work Experience: Three (3) years of experience in general maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Repairs: Replace ballasts, lamp holders, bulbs, switches and fixtures.
• Carpentry and General Repairs: Repair doors, windows, cabinets, furniture and paint surfaces.
• Plumbing Repairs: Repair/replace faucets, valves, clear drains, assist with lines.
• Emergency Response and Safety: Respond to elevator calls, fire alarms, attend safety training, maintain equipment.
• Building Inspections and Reporting: Perform inspections and nightly shift reports.
