Job summary

Marathon Petroleum seeks an experienced NGL Commercial Scheduler to optimize scheduling of NGLs in/out of refineries and storage facilities across the USGC region. You will coordinate truck, rail, pipeline and waterborne movements, balance demand, and work with traders, marketers, and terminals to minimize costs and maximize reliability.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in energy scheduling, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), and strong adaptability and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or five (5) years of related experience in lieu.
• Four (4) or more years of industry-related experience required.
• Two (2) or more years of NGLs experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Nominates and schedules pipeline, waterborne, truck, rail and/or delivery movements using scheduling systems.
• Monitors inventories and shipping schedules daily to ensure supply meets demand.
• Communicates planned movements with traders, optimizers, counterparties, customers, and pipelines.
• Provides forward-looking inventory position information to support strategies.
• Responds to unexpected events with contingency arrangements to minimize disruption.
• Identifies constraints and opportunities to optimize plans and mitigate upsets.
