Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a skilled NGL Commercial Scheduler based in Houston, TX. You will manage scheduling across pipeline, waterborne, truck and rail movements to align supply with demand, while coordinating with traders, optimizers, and external partners to minimize disruption and optimize inventory value.

The role emphasizes strong organizational skills, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to work across teams including Trading, Marketing, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or five (5) years of related experience in lieu.
• Four (4) or more years of industry-related experience required.
• Two (2) or more years of NGLs experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Nominates and schedules pipeline, waterborne, truck, rail and/or delivery movements using scheduling systems; monitors inventories and shipping to meet demand.
• Communicates planned movements with traders, customers, suppliers, terminals, pipelines and other stakeholders.
• Provides forward-looking inventory position information to Trading, Pricing, Marketing, Trucking and Supervision to shape inventory strategies.
• Responds to unexpected events with contingency arrangements to minimize supply disruption.
• Identifies constraints and opportunities to optimize plans and mitigate upsets while maintaining profitability.
