Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Scientist to provide independent support services for the National Institute of Mental Health in Bethesda, MD. This full-time, on-site role requires a PhD and extensive biological research experience to design and conduct experiments, perform electrophysiological recordings, and contribute to data analysis and publication-ready figures.

Qualifications

• PhD degree required.
• Minimum ten years of biological research experience.
• Knowledge of advanced research techniques.
• Named as author or contributor on multiple peer-reviewed journal articles.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD public trust.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments and studies applying broad professional knowledge.
• Perform electrophysiological recordings in studies of sensory coding and neural plasticity.
• Maintain laboratory notebooks and databases; organize data for publication.
