Job summary

TP-Link Systems Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a senior Sales Engineer (pre‑sales) to act as a trusted technical advisor.

You will design wired/wireless solutions, run RF planning, architecture, and Demos/POCs, and partner with regional sales teams to win opportunities across MSPs, MDUs, HSPs, retail, and enterprise segments. The role requires 8–10+ years in pre‑sales, strong IP networking and WLAN skills, and excellent communication with executives.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of customer-facing pre-sales engineering experience.
• Hands-on routing, switching, and enterprise Wi‑Fi expertise.
• Ability to conduct site surveys and design best-practice WLANs.
• Proven ability to run POCs and demos independently.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executives.
• Willingness to travel within territory up to 50–60%.

Responsibilities

• Represent TP-Link’s end-to-end portfolio: wired, wireless, cloud management, security, and automation.
• Own technical sales motions end-to-end: discovery, architecture, RF planning, BOMs, demos, and ROI positioning.
• Design secure, scalable networking solutions for indoor/outdoor deployments.
• Build relationships with channel partners, MSPs, MDUs, HSPs, Retail, Enterprise, and SLED.
• Deliver executive presentations and deep-dives to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities and contribute to territory plans and differentiation strategies.
• Troubleshoot during evaluations and pilots; drive technical wins to close.
• Contribute to technical content and present at events.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to voice customer requirements.
