Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Application Engineer with in-depth knowledge in X86 server and networking solutions, especially in switch products. You will provide technical support to enterprise customers and promote internal switch products to optimize networking solutions.

The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background in networking switches and exceptional communication skills to interface with management at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum of 8+ years of hardware validation experience.
• Strong knowledge of computer architecture; familiarity with Linux, Windows, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Validate motherboard, system, and other server components.
• Perform functionality testing, compatibility testing, performance testing, stress and reliability testing.
• Report hardware and software quality issues in bug-tracking systems.
• Document and analyze test data.
• Maintain and improve validation test plans and test instructions.
• Contribute to development of test utilities and test script automation.
• Support internal and external quality issues and drive issue resolution.
