Job summary

Bryan Health in Lincoln, NE is seeking an experienced enterprise network engineer to design, deploy, and support our nationwide network infrastructure. You will lead Layer 2/3 deployments, optimize routing, firewall configurations, and SD-WAN, while mentoring junior staff and driving projects across LAN, WAN, and cloud-integrated environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VRRP, EIGRP, and MPLS.
• Experience with Layer 2/3 switching, routing, and firewall concepts.
• Strong ability to design, troubleshoot, and document enterprise networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment and optimization of Layer 2/3 network infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless controllers, and firewalls.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of network incidents across LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless environments.
• Design and maintain secure site-to-site and remote-access VPNs with multi-vendor support.
• Manage SD-WAN infrastructure and optimize traffic and failover policies.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, IP schemas, and change control records.
• Mentor junior staff, participate in architecture discussions, and lead small to medium projects.
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance of network services.
