Job summary

Danta Technologies in Bakersfield, CA is seeking an experienced IT/telecom technician to support network infrastructure on client sites. You will perform site services tasks, install and maintain equipment, and respond to incidents via ServiceNow, ensuring minimal downtime.

You will collaborate with engineering and field teams to deploy and troubleshoot complex networks, including IP telephony, WiFi, RF equipment, and related systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in supporting and managing network infrastructure or equivalent.
• Experience in racking, stacking, cabling and decommissioning network hardware.
• Site Services support for network device maintenance and console/remote access.
• Experience with routing, switching, firewalls, WiFi, IPT, RF equipment including microwave, cellular nodes, VSATs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to ServiceNow incident tickets.
• Installing power leads.
• Installing, removing or swapping equipment.
• Locating and identifying network circuits and tagging the demark location.
• Providing escort services for third party vendors or subcontractors at site.
• Adhering to risk management processes, permits, change management, safety training, and reporting incidents.
• Compliance with audit, information protection, security standards for physical access and operations.
• Troubleshooting and patching power cables; identifying a switch port location; pinging devices and DNS lookups.
• Troubleshooting, installing, and removing equipment as needed; visual checks for hardware status.
• Assisting with environmental issue reporting in communications rooms.
• Perform IMAC for end user LAN/voice devices and follow change management procedures.
• Monitor and respond to emergencies affecting operations; support disaster recovery plans.
• Provide smarthands for telecoms infrastructure including fiber, WiFi, microwave, VSAT, IPT.
• Work with internal teams to restore services across IT/Telecoms.
