Job summary

Quvia seeks a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Network Systems to design and implement high-performance networking software in C/C++ and Python. You will work on virtualized environments, L2–L7 protocols, and integration with NMS systems, driving reliability and scalability in fast-paced teams.

The role demands strong debugging, distributed systems expertise, and collaboration across architecture, QA, and DevOps to deliver production-quality software and robust documentation.

Qualifications

• We require a Bachelor's or Master’s in CS/EE.
• 7–10 years of hands-on C/C++ and Python software development.
• Strong networking knowledge: IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network virtualization.
• Experience with Linux systems, system/socket programming, and multithreading.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and standard dev tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance network software modules in C/C++.
• Integrate with Python modules and vendor-neutral networking components.
• Work on L2–L7 protocols (Ethernet, IP, TCP/UDP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Collaborate with architecture, QA, DevOps to deliver robust components.
• Debug across application, transport, and network layers; analyze crash data.
• Configure and troubleshoot virtual networking in VM environments (bridges, TAP/TUN, VLANs).
• Deploy and test networking software in KVM/VMware/VirtualBox or cloud VMs.
• Mentor juniors and contribute to design documentation.
