Job summary
Versa Networks in Santa Clara, CA, seeks a senior network/security software engineer to lead architecture, design, and implementation of high-performance forwarding software. You will contribute on multi-core architectures, network interfaces, and secure service processing across SD-WAN/SSE/SASE platforms.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor newer engineers, leveraging 5–10 years of hands-on experience and strong C/C++ expertise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
- 5–10 years of hands-on software engineering in networking/security.
- Strong background in TCP/IP, LAN/WAN and routing concepts.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop software for real-time network applications on a multi-core architecture.
- Design, develop and maintain NextGen Packet Forwarding and security features for SDWAN/SASE/SSE platforms.
- Collaborate with Development, System Test, PLM and TAC teams.
- Address challenging problems and contribute platform optimization ideas.
