Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Network Support Technician – Intermediate to support the INSCOM mission. The role focuses on datacenter and remote-site operations, security compliance, and 24/7 availability in demanding environments.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, system administration, and coordination with contractor teams. Willingness to travel and attain CI polygraph may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Degree or 2 years of related specialized experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience: 5+ years of related experience; must include at least 2 years of specialized experience.
• Security clearance: TS/SCI.
• Required certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT II/8140 CE, IAT II, CE certifications.
• Role requirements: on customer site daily support; may require CI Polygraph; lifting/physical activity; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support datacenter and remote-site operations with clear security protocols and system availability.
• Collaborate with contractor teams and end users to resolve issues and coordinate escalations.
• Diagnose issues, implement network improvements, maintain reliable performance in demanding locations.
• Use diagnostic tools, network management software, cryptographic devices, and systems administration expertise to optimize components.
• Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues across datacenter and remote environments.
• Configure and maintain network components and operating systems for reliability.
• Install and administer servers, desktops, and cabling; manage accounts, security, and OS deployments.
• Provide Tier I/II support for field and garrison sites and escalate as needed.
• Manage datacenter access controls and cryptographic keys for secure operations.
• Train and assist end users and junior technicians.
• Repair and sustain diverse hardware/software to ensure mission readiness.
