Job summary

Reach Security in the United States seeks a Principal Support Engineer, Network, to serve as the senior domain authority on network issues. You will advise the field, guide customers through their toughest problems, and sharpen Reach’s recommendations for network-related findings.

This high‑agency, individual contributor role focuses on enablement, troubleshooting complex integrations, and driving robust product outcomes through clear root‑cause analysis and repeatable workflows.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of deep, hands-on experience with enterprise network security
• Senior IC in Network Support or related role
• Expertise with enterprise firewall ecosystems and rule-base design
• Strong TCP/IP knowledge and ability to reason from packet captures
• Experience with network segmentation, NAT, routing, VPN, and TLS inspection
• Experience with IDS/IPS/NDR, secure web gateways, and SASE/ZTNA
• Cloud network security with AWS/Azure/GCP
• Ability to diagnose interoperability issues between security tools
• Linux admin knowledge to reason about services operating with network devices
• Experience in large, multi-site environments and complex estates
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain complex issues
• Time management and urgency in customer-impacting situations

Responsibilities

• Enable the field by turning network findings into clear, prioritized recommendations
• Critique network findings to focus on what truly matters for customers
• Troubleshoot integrations between Reach and third-party security products
• Diagnose deep engineering issues end to end from captures and logs
• Uplevel the Sales Engineering team with technique and explanations
• Partner with Engineering and QA to report defects and verify fixes
• Author and maintain runbooks and internal documentation
• Maintain a lab/test capability across representative network platforms
