Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Network Specialist 3 to join the Security and Electronic Systems unit in the Charleston area. The role focuses on design, integration, operation, and maintenance of electronic security and IT networks for federal, local, and commercial customers.

Responsibilities include surveys, network service installation, design documentation, and ongoing maintenance. Active DoD SECRET clearance is REQUIRED, with a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of progressive experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or a related discipline and 5+ years of progressive experience.

Responsibilities

• Survey/measurements and produce actionable reports.
• Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices.
• Develop network designs for SLA classifications; prepare design documents.
• Assist senior engineers with designs, QA/QC, and testing plans.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex network issues; support 24/7 on-call schedule.
• Document procedures and assist PMs to meet network task deadlines.
• Maintain and upgrade hardware/software; perform routine maintenance.
