is seeking a Network Specialist 4 in the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit to design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain electronic security services for federal, local and commercial customers, supporting the US Air Force Education and Training Center. The role emphasizes network engineering, testing, maintenance, and system integration across intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, and IT systems, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering, computer science, IT or related field with 7+ years progressive experience.
• Clearance/citizenship and ability to obtain DoD SECRET clearance required.
• Understanding of ITIL concepts and security implications for network solutions.
• Knowledge of network concepts, technologies, tools and the ability to design network infrastructure and services.
• Experience with system development methodology, project management, and analytical/problem solving.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience with cybersecurity and STIG applications to network systems; familiarity with testing and QA processes.
• Preferred: ability to read schematics, configure network systems, test and troubleshoot, and use common network tools.

Responsibilities

• Survey reports: present results to senior staff.
• Install, configure, and maintain network services and devices.
• Design network solutions for SLA classifications and prepare design documents.
• Assist in design and testing of network systems; QA/QC and test plan creation.
• Lead/assist in testing and commissioning procedures; write test reports.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support and maintenance planning.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems and implement security updates.
• Document procedures and assist in project planning and bid processes.
