Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a hands-on Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our enterprise security. The role centers on Palo Alto firewall administration, GlobalProtect VPN, and secure cloud connectivity with Azure and AWS, plus certificate-based authentication for IoT devices.

This is an on-site role at Torrance, CA. Ideal candidates will have deep firewall/routing expertise, practical security for endpoints, and the ability to secure cameras and IoT devices using

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and threat prevention.
• Experience configuring GlobalProtect VPN and site-to-site VPNs to Azure/AWS.
• Knowledge of 802.1X authentication and certificate-based access.
• Experience with Ruckus switches and VLAN routing.
• Strong troubleshooting across firewall, VPN, and switching layers.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage Palo Alto firewall security policies and NAT rules.
• Design and implement Palo Alto firewall routing (static, dynamic, policy-based).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize firewall performance and rules.
• Build and maintain GlobalProtect VPN for secure remote access.
• Create site-to-site VPN tunnels to Azure and AWS; troubleshoot connectivity.
• Support certificate-based authentication for IoT devices and cameras.
