Job summary

CoreWeave is hiring a Network Security Engineer to design and implement security across our hyperscale cloud infrastructure. You will secure data center perimeters, internal fabrics, and GPU clusters while promoting a security-first culture across cross-functional teams.

The role requires 3–7 years of hands-on experience in network security within large-scale cloud environments, strong knowledge of cloud architectures, and proficiency in security monitoring and incident response.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, with exposure to large-scale cloud or hyperscaler environments.
• Deep understanding of network security principles and technologies – including mitigating DDoS attacks, securing high-speed data center fabrics, defending against web exploits, and implementing zero trust methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of securing modern cloud and network architectures; proficient in TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, HTTP/S, network segmentation, VPNs, and firewall configurations; experience with AWS, GCP, Azure or hyperscale infra and containers.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy security measures across the network perimeter and internal fabrics to protect globally distributed hyperscale infrastructure.
• Champion a Zero Trust security model across network and cloud environments, enforcing least-privilege access and micro-segmentation.
• Establish robust monitoring for network security events and coordinate incident response efforts to minimize impact.
• Collaborate with Networking, Infrastructure, DevOps/SRE, and Software Engineering teams to integrate security best practices into architecture and deployments.
• Secure high-density GPU clusters and ultra-low latency backends; protect data in transit.
• Educate partners and lead security training sessions; promote a security-first mindset.
• Refine and enforce security policies and SOPs for a scalable distributed environment.
